Amouage Opus XIV — Royal Tobacco EDP is a magnificently complex, award-winning aromatic woody fragrance for women and men from the Library Collection, created by perfumer Cécile Zarokian and winner of the Fragrance Foundation’s Indie Fragrance of the Year 2023. Inspired by a journey along the Tropic of Cancer from Oman to Cuba, connecting royal frankincense to regal tobacco, it opens with a boldly resinous, aromatic accord of olibanum, anise, elemi resin, cardamom, basil, and bergamot. The heart is a richly layered tobacco composition flanked by liquorice root, lavender, prunol, fenugreek, orange blossom, osmanthus, and rose — sweet, herbal, and deeply sophisticated. A vast, balsamic base of olibanum, myrrh, bourbon vanilla, birch tar, benzoin, agarwood, Peru balsam, labdanum, guaiac wood, tonka bean, vetiver, and musk closes with an extraordinary depth that lasts well beyond 12 hours.
